I was there! The Reunion organizers had some real problems but it was great to see Bob Wiggins, Dan Shiflet ( he looks very good considering his rounds of chemo), and Surprise, I saw John Wayett. He fininsed a tour in Iraq flying mostly SOG missions with 600hrs. He still loves flying and is in the Florida National guard. He must have 1000s of hours in his jacket because he flew with us when I was in Vietnam. He was a grumpy Strak Cpt when I knew him but he promised me he has mellowed in his 40yrs in the service. His wife just rolled her eyes when he said it though BlueGhost Two-Zero
Yes Bob, indeed you were there! I met your fellow VHPA member/reunion attendees Robert Wiggins, John Wyatt Jr., and Greg Ross at this years Blue Ghost reunion in San Antonio. I recognize Chris Cole -- he was flying when I caught up to F/8 in DaNang, Sep 72. Now, I need some help identifying the other pilots in John Shepardson's photo!
I also met Bob Smith at the Blue Ghost Reunion in San Antonio and would have included him in my previous message, if I could figure out how to edit a message! Re the VHPA Reunion photo: Chris Cole is standing on far left and John Wyatt Jr. is standing on far right.
The 2006 VHPA Reunion Morning Report lists twenty-two Blue Ghosts in attendance: Chris Cole, Lewis Crosier, Ronald Dobson, Robert Drury, George Ezell, Rick Guttery, George Jones, Woodson McFarlin, Daniel Nichols, William Owen, Terry Rippy, Gregory Ross, John Shanahan, John Shepardson, James Sheridan, Daniel Shifflet, Michael Smith, Robert Smith, Timothy Sprouse, Charles Walton, Robert Wiggins, and John Wyatt Jr. Did any other Blue Ghost(s) attend who was/were not included on the Morning Report?
