Centaur 03 very active 1972 I-Corps

Been doing Research trying to seperate the Wheat from the Chaff so to speak. Primarily Phu Bai Hue and LZ Sally during Easter Offensive. Found USMC Advisors Logbook for May thru June 1972 Centaur 03 was everywhere.The Logbook has grid coords and results reports from Ridgebeam Charlie and Rangers. Dusty Holms should be ID'd shortly they JPAC did recovery work at Crash Site earlier this year.I was Radio Operator Ground Voice for 20th TASS Birddogs Covey Bilk Trail Rustic's and such

  1. The Centaurs were F Troop 4th Cavalry. They were sent north from Long Binh to Phubai on short notice in April 1972. Centuar 3 was probably the operations officer. When I left them in February, the operations officer was Captain Mike Hannah but I don’t know how long he stayed in that position or if the Centaur 03 mentioned in the log book was the operations officer or not. Centaur 6 was Major John Spencer. There is a roster of the Centaurs and a Centaur Group web site, however, their written history, except for a New York Times article, dated April 16, 1972, seemed to stop when they went north. The last yearbook ended about April 72. The Troop stood down in February 73
