Here are photos of my Dec 08 trip to Saigon and F/8's AO while it operated out of Chu Lai. I stayed in Hoi An, an ancient city located at the juncture of the Son Tu Bon River and the S. China Sea. The Son Tu Bon River was the northern boundary of the Americal AO. Not much left of "our" presence but steel and concrete and memories. James Sheridan sirideain1@gmail.com
Excellent pictures, sure didn't look anything like that up in the Central Highlands where I was at, but thanks for sharing what it looks like today. It was a beautiful Country except for being there during 71-72 during the War. Later, Bruce aka Frenchie
