Came to C Trp 7/17th Cav a PFC at Ft Knox, KY in Feb 67 along with Howard Daugherty, John Noyes, and Walter Carl from Fort Eustis, VA. Deployed Oct 67 on USSN Walter to Vietnam as a unit. Left F Trp 8th Cav on 5 May 68 as SP5 E-5 Medavaced to Japan with my gunner SP Black.
Adam, Bob and Carter, I will add your names and the ones that you have sent and post an updated version. Carter, do you remember Black’s first name?
Everyone is invited to review this roster and submit any additions or changes. This roster was originally made by John Williamson and was on his web site. He obviously did a lot of research but I am sure there are numerous omissions. He gave permission for us to post it and was planning on updating, however, he was tragically killed in an accident this past year. Therefore, I guess it is now time to see if we can get everyone accounted for and on the roster. Your help is much appreciated.
Update~February 13, 2010. It has come to light that this roster was originated by Dick Crawley, Blue Ghost Green, in 1988. He relates that he had it up to 225 names when John took it over.
I would like to be added to the roster. I'm, Victor E. Cook Jr, came to C Trp 7/17th Cav, a SP4 from Ft Benning, GA, in Feb 67 along with Joe Johnson. A bunch of us made SP5 before leaving Ft Knox for RVN. I was assigned to the scout section. I went over on the carrier USNS Brenton. I departed Chu Lia Oct 1968. Thank you

Please add me to the roster. I am Jack Ogden. I was a Sgt. E-5 scout observer and flew with Lt. Jones and Tom McCabe. We trained at Ft. Knox and went over on the USS Walker. I left Chu Lai April 24, 1968. I hope we have a Boat People reunion in 2013. I would like to get to see everyone again,

Do not know Black's first name. He was only there for a very short time before we were shot. Still loking for Bass and Black.
