  1. As most all of you know, the reunion in Branson Mo. is scheduled for March29-April 1, 2007. Branson is a great place.. I have visited there before. There are a lot of very nice people in that part of the country and the shows in Branson seem to get better every year. Although I am not familiar with the hotel that was chosen for the reunion, I am sure it will be nice as most of them are fairly new, being built in the last 10-15 years or so. The first time I visited Branson in 1958 we stayed in cabins at Rockaway Beach on Lake Taney Como and bought groceries at the general store. We rode there in an old yellow Ford school bus that had a hard time pulling all the hills in north Arkansas. At that time Rockaway Beach was a popular destination for high school senior trips for schools that were within school bus driving distance. There were no theaters or shows like there are now in Branson, however we had a great time chasing all of the pretty girls from the other high schools. I am sure you will have a good time if you go there for the Blue Ghost reunion. For those of you that make it to the reunion, please take photos. Especially requested are group photos of the Blue Ghosts in attendance. Send them with names or you can post them here. These photos are of great interest to those who are unable to attend the reunions. I have received numerous e-mails about the VHPA reunion photo that John Shepherdson sent last July. One e-mail said that he was the man standing behind Bob Smith and was David Wallace, another said that it was Mark Ferguson. I don’t know either one and can’t find them listed on any of the rosters. Hope someone will post back here after the reunion and tell us about it.

  2. I was planning on attending this reunion at Branson, but my situation has caused me to miss this one. Lost my job back in December which hurt our holidays. Then I finally had the neck surgery I needed last month. I am still in this collar for the next three weeks and couldn't handle the road trip. Tell all there I give my best regards and hope to hear from anyone from the unit while I was there, (10-71 to 7-72). Don't forget I was one of those that kept those weapons on the Cobras working during the Easter offensive in 72.
